DevOps Engineer

A leading Tele Communications organisation are looking to introduce their first out and out DevOps Engineer to their operations team in Central London. This opportunity will give you the chance to fully drive the adoption of DevOps practices throughout a genuine world class mobile technology company.

Fundamentally, we're looking for candidates with really strong Linux infrastructure experience, you must be able to build, automate, configure and monitor Linux based systems. Automation is an equally important aspect of this position, meaning you will need to have a strong understanding of configuration management technologies and principles (Ansible, Puppet, and Chef).

Ideally candidates will have experience designing and implementing HA solutions, high availability is an important aspect to this role. Maximum uptime is absolutely essential, they are currently at four nines and one of the organisations objectives this year is to achieve five nines.

As you will be working for a leading mobile telecommunications organisation, experience in the design, configuration and deployment of VoIP installations and Asterisk is preferable however not essential.

In this position you will also be working with Jenkins, Docker and cloud technology, specifically AWS so prior experience working with EC2, S3, Route 53 or Lambda is preferable. Desirable candidates will also have experience or some exposure to working with serverless technology.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Linux DevOps engineer to join a department of 30 operations engineers as the departments DevOps specialist. This position will provide you with a unique platform to build on your existing skills while also allowing you to develop a range of complex skills in niche areas.
