Platform Engineer

We have an initial 3 month contract for a growing consultancy based in London. The company are looking for someone who is strong from a technical perspective and has a strong client facing element. The project you will be working on will be based in the private sector for large well known companies.

This position is looking for someone who has a more Software Engineering background and has recently moved more into a DevOps way of working. A strong understanding of Software builds and deployments is a must as well as Cloud and Automation.

Experience with any tools like Java, Scala, Go, Python and Ruby is a necessity while also having an understanding of AWS, Ansible, Puppet or Google Cloud Platform. Commercial experience with Terraform, Packer and Consul is beneficial while Linux is essential.

We are looking for someone who is able to write code to automate builds, someone who has a strong Software Engineering mindset that can aid with code reviews. You will own and maintain the build pipeline for CD in all activities while using configuration management to improve software builds.

This project will be building Infrastructure in the Cloud and is looking for someone who has previous experience in Cloud transformation projects.

This role is ideal for someone who was previously a Software Engineer and has moved into more of an Ops focused position.
