Back End Development

Working in an incubator for a larger well known organisation, you will have full ownership on a greenfield project working with Java 9 (yes, 9!) Distributed Systems, Microservices, Reactive Streams, Spring Boot, Kinesis, AWS, Jenkins and Terraform.

You're someone who has seen the sights, taken ownership on multiple projects end to end and someone the team can rely on to do what is best for the team of 5 talented engineers.

JVM is your thing. By the time you've joined we'll be working with Java 9 so whether you've worked with Java, Kotlin or Scala, we'd like to hear from you. You'll be out of your depth if you're used to legacy code, our systems are the complete opposite and always changing.

You will stream architectures, work with live reactive systems and work with a great stack. If distributed systems excite you and you enjoy empowering your team to work with the latest technology, then this could be the position for you.

Agile is in your blood, does anyone use an alternative anymore? You will be leading standups and sprint reviews and will be the person relied on for the final say.

You are someone who is always keeping up to date and chasing the limits of modern technology, you'll be working alongside similar people, hence why we're using the technologies we do.

As the Principal Engineer you can do whatever you want as long as it benefits the project and the engineer's strengths, you can be as creative as possible. You won't be limited or waiting for someone to check off your work or give you the thumbs up.

Sound good? You are guaranteed to feel technically satisfied and work on a genuinely exciting project. Get in touch to find out more.
